EX9180 is a Kevlar fiber shear designed and manufactured specifically for cutting strong Kevlar fiber components of fiber optic cables. Its serrated edge prevents the fibers from sliding out to the front of the shear while cutting. Its cutting edges are 58-60 RC. Its shears employ a unique technology to carry out a clean and smooth cut. Providing this cutter with anti-shock shear cut features, in fact, this system greatly reduces mechanical shock to the component and requires the operator less effort to perform the cut. The shears are equipped with an ESD Ergo-tek handle which allows an excellent grip, suitable to environments and to components susceptible to electrostatic discharges.
